Graduate Program Successfully Hosts Guest Lecturer

On Saturday (March 5, 2022), the Graduate Program of UNUJA successfully held a Guest Lecturer event with the theme "Strengthening the Management System of Islamic Educational Institutions Based on the Merdeka Belajar Policy." The event was attended by Dr. Siswanto, M.Pd., Dean of IAIN Madura, and took place at the Wisma Dosen Hall, Universitas Nurul Jadid.

According to Dr. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., "He mentioned that this Guest Lecturer event will become a regular activity for the graduate program. Therefore, as the Director of the Graduate Program, he hopes that the S2 program will be much more advanced than the undergraduate program, in terms of relationships, knowledge, and other aspects."

According to Dr. Siswanto, M.Pd., "There are several components in educational institutions based on the Merdeka Belajar policy. First, the lack of teachers who study when they are about to teach—they only rely on inherited knowledge. This issue is not only found in universities but also in madrasahs and other educational institutions, which leads to a lack of additional knowledge for them. Second, the decreasing role of higher education, which is being replaced by information technology, as students tend to prefer searching on Google rather than asking lecturers or teachers. Third, the main task of education has now been replaced by research and publication."

Through the strengthening of the management system, this can serve as an addition and evaluation for Merdeka Belajar in the future to improve it.
