Paiton, November 17, 2024 – The Postgraduate Programme of Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the quality of education by organizing a Guest Lecture on the topic of Public Relations Management in Islamic Education. Held at the UNUJA Faculty Lounge, the event featured the keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. H. M. Khusnurridha, M.Pd., the Chairman of Doctoral in Islamic Education Management at UINKHAS Jember , who delivered an insightful presentation on the importance of understanding the fundamental functions of management, which include: (1) Planning, (2) Organizing, (3) Leading, and (4) Controlling.
The event was specially designed for first-semester students in the Master's Program in Islamic Education Management (MPI), as part of an effort to provide new insights that are relevant to the challenges of modern Islamic education. During his presentation, Prof. Khusnurridha emphasized the critical need for a deep understanding of basic information management principles. "Effective public relations management is not just about communication; it’s also about how we understand and respond to societal needs through a structured and systematic approach," he explained.
Dr. H. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., a senior academic at UNUJA who assisted with the event, added that the goal of this lecture was to broaden students' perspectives on the importance of human resource management (HRM) in supporting the success of Islamic educational institutions. "This Guest Lecture not only imparts new knowledge but also encourages students to be more sensitive to HRM challenges in education and motivates them to seek innovative and appropriate solutions," he stated.
The Head of the MPI Master's Program at UNUJA, Dr. Abu Hasan Agus R, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the students' enthusiasm. He emphasized that the event aligns with UNUJA’s vision to become a leading institution in advancing knowledge, particularly in the field of Islamic education management. "This event not only enriches academic knowledge but also serves as a foundation for students to become professional and visionary education managers," Dr. Abu Hasan affirmed.
The students in attendance displayed tremendous enthusiasm throughout the event. In addition to attentively listening to the speaker’s presentation, they actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and shared experiences regarding HRM in the context of Islamic education. One student commented, "This event has provided us with a valuable new perspective on the importance of building good relationships with society through proper and well-planned management approaches."
More than just an academic activity, this Guest Lecture also strengthened the collaboration between UNUJA and UINKHAS Jember, two higher education institutions committed to advancing Islamic education in Indonesia. This partnership is expected to generate strategic programs that will have a direct impact on the development of high-quality and relevant Islamic education for the future.
