On Saturday (2/7), the Rector of UNUJA, K.H. Abd. Hamid Wahid, M.Ag., also known as Gus Hamid, delivered a religious lecture during his visit to Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. The event, which was part of an Istighasah and Tausiah session, carried the theme "Strengthening Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah." Gus Hamid was accompanied by a delegation from Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid, including K.H. Najiburrahman (Vice Head of Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid, as well as Vice Rector II of UNUJA), Drs. H. Hambali, M.Pd. (Vice Rector I of UNUJA), and Achmad Fawaid, M.A., M.A. (Head of LP3M UNUJA).
The event was initiated by several community leaders from Southeast Sulawesi, who are also alumni of Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid. Representatives from the PWNU Southeast Sulawesi, student movement activists, and local community leaders were also in attendance.
In his tausiah, Gus Hamid emphasized the importance of strengthening the Islamic religious understanding of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) in the context of working towards a Golden Indonesia. He stated that Aswaja has proven to be a belief system that can unite the Indonesian nation and even inspire other countries to adopt it. Therefore, in preparing Indonesia for global success, the younger generation and all elements of the nation must unite to maintain national solidarity, one of which is by making Aswaja the foundation of the movement.
In the same session, a prayer (istighasah) was also held, led by K.H. Najiburrahman. The prayer was offered to ask for goodness for all the people of Indonesia and to seek Allah SWT's help in all efforts to build the nation.
