Mecca, Tuesday, August 4, 2025 — The Director of the Graduate School at Nurul Jadid University (UNUJA), Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., conducted a significant visit to the Indonesian Overseas School (Sekolah Indonesia Luar Negeri, SILN) in Mecca to explore strategic collaboration opportunities between the two institutions. The meeting aimed to strengthen synergy in the field of education, particularly the implementation of the university’s tridharma (three pillars) to support UNUJA’s internal programs as well as government initiatives for impactful campus programs.
During the visit, Dr. Akmal Mundiri expressed his hope that the collaboration would open avenues for joint efforts in curriculum development, collaborative research, community service, and the enhancement of human resources through continuous education programs. “Our presence here opens new horizons and reinforces our commitment to building mutually beneficial partnerships,” said Dr. Akmal.
From the SILN Mecca side, the visit was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Mustafa, S.Pd., M.Pd. Mustafa expressed his enthusiasm regarding the proposed collaboration and was optimistic that it would bring significant positive impacts to the school. “With this cooperation, we hope to strengthen educational quality and expand access to academic resources that support teaching and learning processes at SILN Mecca,” Mustafa stated.
The benefits of this partnership will not only be felt by both institutions but also by students and academic communities, where synergy between the university and the school can create a more holistic and globally competitive educational ecosystem. Furthermore, the implementation of the tridharma—education, research, and community service—is expected to be concretely applied in the context of SILN Mecca, thereby directly contributing to the advancement of Indonesian education abroad.
This meeting marks a strategic momentum to strengthen the relationship between higher education institutions and overseas educational entities while supporting UNUJA’s vision as an active campus in national and international educational development.
