Lecturer from UNUJA Appointed as Board Member of LPT PBNU in the Field of Scientific Journals

Yogyakarta, June 19, 2024 – The Association of Volunteers and Managers of Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Journals (ARJUNU) officially inaugurated its new board for the 2024-2029 term. The inauguration took place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, and will be followed by a three-day working meeting until June 21, 2024, at Nahdlatul Ulama University Yogyakarta (UNU Yogyakarta).

The event was attended by various leaders and lecturers from Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Institutions across Indonesia. Among them, three figures from Nurul Jadid University secured strategic positions in the ARJUNU board. They are Dr. H. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., who serves as Vice Chairman; Dr. Achmad Fawaid, M.A., M.A., who is the Coordinator of Substantive Affairs; and Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., who is the Coordinator of Training Affairs.

The inauguration of the ARJUNU board aims to strengthen the role and contributions of scientific journals in the development of science and technology within Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Institutions. In his speech, the newly appointed Chairman of ARJUNU emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in managing scientific journals.

"With a spirit of togetherness and strong commitment, we believe ARJUNU can become a driving force in improving the quality of scientific journals in the PTNU environment. Through training and enhancement of journal substance, we will be able to compete on both national and international stages," said the Chairman of ARJUNU.

In addition to the inauguration, the event also featured various discussion sessions and workshops aimed at formulating ARJUNU's work programs for the next five years. The main focus of this working meeting is to strengthen the capacity of volunteers and journal managers, improve the quality of journal content, and develop effective and efficient publication strategies.

Participants in the working meeting appeared enthusiastic about attending each session held. They hope that through the programs developed, ARJUNU can make a tangible contribution to advancing the quality of education and research in Indonesia.

The inauguration event and working meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between ARJUNU and various related parties, including several prestigious universities that are ready to support ARJUNU's programs in the future. With this support, it is hoped that ARJUNU can continue to grow and provide wide-ranging benefits for all members and the academic community in Indonesia.
