Probolinggo, December 3, 2024 – In an effort to enhance the quality of scientific publications, Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., Vice Rector III of Nurul Jadid University, Paiton, Probolinggo, provided guidance to the management team of the Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam (USRAH) at Ahmad Dahlan Institute, Probolinggo. The activity, conducted on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, aimed to help the journal managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) achieve higher quality standards and obtain accreditation.
The event took place at the Ahmad Dahlan Institute campus in Probolinggo, attended by the journal's editorial team and institutional leaders. During the mentoring session, Dr. Hasan Baharun offered comprehensive guidance on improving the managerial and editorial quality of the journal, covering aspects such as article management, the review process, and meeting the academic standards required for accreditation.
"Currently, the quality of journals is one of the key indicators in academia. Through this mentoring program, we hope Jurnal USRAH can enhance its management and achieve a commendable accreditation," said Dr. Hasan Baharun in his opening remarks.
This initiative also marked a form of collaboration between Nurul Jadid University and Ahmad Dahlan Institute, with both institutions committed to working together to improve the quality of scientific publications as part of the Tri Dharma of higher education: education, research, and community service.
Ana Billah, M.H., Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal USRAH, expressed her hopes for the journal’s development and accreditation. "We truly hope that with this guidance, the quality of Jurnal USRAH will improve and that it will become a key reference in the field of Islamic family law," she said.
The activity was well-received by the attendees. In addition to the LPPM management, institutional leaders and other faculty members who participated showed great enthusiasm for efforts to enhance journal quality. It is anticipated that this mentoring will not only improve the quality of Jurnal USRAH but also strengthen the collaboration between the two universities in advancing education and research quality in Indonesia.
"This mentoring is not just about improving journal quality but also about fostering stronger ties between universities, which ultimately can contribute more significantly to the development of knowledge and society," added Dr. Hasan Baharun.
With this mentoring program, it is expected that Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam (USRAH) will continue to grow and gain greater recognition in the academic world, while positively contributing to the advancement of knowledge in Indonesia.
