Postgraduate Lecturer of Nurul Jadid University Assists Reputable Journal Article Writing at UIN KHAS Jember

Jember, October 14, 2025 — In an effort to strengthen academic collaboration among higher education institutions, lecturers from the Postgraduate Program of Nurul Jadid University (UNUJA) Paiton Probolinggo conducted a mentoring program on reputable journal article writing at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK), State Islamic University of Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq (UIN KHAS) Jember.

The event took place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of FTIK UIN KHAS Jember, and was enthusiastically attended by local students and lecturers. This mentoring activity serves as a follow-up to the academic collaboration between the UNUJA Postgraduate Program and UIN KHAS Jember in the field of research development and scientific publication enhancement.

The main speaker, Associate Prof. Dr. H. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., a permanent lecturer at UNUJA’s Postgraduate Program and currently serving as the Vice Rector III of Nurul Jadid University, emphasized the importance of writing reputable scientific articles as a key indicator of academic quality improvement in universities. “Writing reputable articles is not only a personal achievement but also a tangible contribution to the advancement of knowledge and the reputation of the institution,” he stated.

Dr. Hasan Baharun also highlighted the importance of understanding scientific article structure, selecting appropriate journals, and adhering to publication ethics. Through this mentoring session, participants are expected to produce academic works that meet international standards and contribute to improving the quality of scientific publications within their academic environment.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FTIK UIN KHAS Jember, Dr. H. Abdul Mu’is, M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the successful implementation of this program. He noted that the mentoring provided by UNUJA postgraduate lecturers offers significant benefits for both students and lecturers in strengthening the culture of writing and research. “This activity serves as a vital momentum for students to enhance their academic competence and broaden their understanding of reputable publications. For the university, such programs are strategic steps toward building a productive and collaborative academic ecosystem,” he remarked.

The event, which lasted for several hours, was conducted in an interactive and inspiring atmosphere. Participants showed high enthusiasm throughout each session, from learning article structuring techniques to strategies for publishing in indexed journals.

Through this initiative, it is hoped that a renewed spirit of writing and research will emerge, further strengthening the synergy between UNUJA and UIN KHAS Jember in realizing higher education institutions that are excellent, competitive, and contributive to global scientific development.
