The Postgraduate Program of Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) recently held a Guest Lecture for the course *Islamic Integration Studies and Management Science*. This event aimed to promote the improvement of higher education quality, as well as support the mastery of theories in specific fields of knowledge that will contribute to the advancement of science and technology through research and the creation of innovative works. This is in line with the Ministerial Regulation Number 53 of 2023 on the Assurance of Higher Education Quality.
This Guest Lecture featured Capt. Dr. Al-Hajj Mohammed Bin Abdullah, M.Pd., Ph.D., a practitioner-lecturer from SPICA SERVICES, a company headquartered in Singapore with 10 offices across Southeast Asia. He is also an officer responsible for training cadets aboard the NOL/APL vessel and has experience as a maritime assessor and a certified lead auditor for the ISO 9000/2000 series. In addition, Capt. Dr. Al-Hajj Mohammed has served as an inspector for Panama ship registration.
The event, held online on Sunday, November 10, 2024, was attended by postgraduate students of UNUJA. The students were highly enthusiastic about the material presented, which discussed the integration of Islamic knowledge and science in the context of management, as well as its application in the industrial and technological sectors.
The course lecturers, Dr. Abu Khaer, M.A., Hum., who taught *Islamic Integration Studies and Management Science*, and Ahmad Sahidah, Ph.D., who taught *Policy Analysis and Issues in Islamic Education*, collaborated to successfully organize this event. This collaboration between lecturers provided a rich and in-depth learning experience for students, helping them understand the challenges and opportunities in the development of knowledge.
Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., Director of the Postgraduate Program at UNUJA, emphasized that such collaborative learning should be enhanced and expanded. He hopes that events like this will offer students a broader understanding of education from an international perspective and positively impact the development of science and technology in Indonesia.
Through this activity, it is hoped that postgraduate students at UNUJA will not only gain theoretical insights but also be able to apply the knowledge they have acquired to create innovative works that can make a real contribution to society and the world of higher education.
