Paiton, September 3, 2024 – The Postgraduate Program of Nurul Jadid University (UNUJA) conducted a special briefing for 59 selected students participating in the Overseas Academic and Research Collaboration 2024. This program is designed as part of the academic capacity development for students through international collaboration in Malaysia and Singapore, which will take place from September 13 to 17, 2024.

The briefing, held at the UNUJA campus, serves as the final step of preparation before the students are dispatched. The opening ceremony was led by the Director of the Postgraduate Program, Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., who emphasized the importance of seriousness and dedication among the participants in this program. “You are the ambassadors of knowledge who will carry the good name of UNUJA and Indonesia on the international stage. Prepare yourselves as best as you can, not only for personal achievement but also to honor your alma mater,” he stated. Dr. Akmal was accompanied by the Deputy Rector III of UNUJA, Dr. H. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., who also provided motivation and support to the students.

Before being declared ready to participate in the program, each participant was required to undergo a series of selection and preparation stages. This process included writing a scientific article that meets international standards, intensive guidance from expert lecturers, and review of the articles by supervisors and two independent examiners. The prepared articles will later be presented at several prestigious educational institutions in Malaysia and Singapore, including the National University of Singapore (NUS), one of the best universities in Asia.

In addition to the academic aspects, the briefing also covered technical information regarding the departure, including location maps, culture, and the atmosphere in the two destination countries, Malaysia and Singapore. This material was presented by KH. Fahmi Abdul Haq Zaini, the main leader of AHZ Tour, who has experience in organizing international trips. “We have prepared everything in detail, from accommodation, transportation, to meal needs while there. Participants only need to focus on their academic goals, as we have handled all other needs,” said KH. Fahmi.

With full support from AHZ Tour, all forms of accommodation, meals, transportation, and other necessities during the program will be directly managed by the travel agency. This aims to allow participants to fully concentrate on the academic activities and collaborations they will engage in, without worrying about daily needs while abroad.

The Overseas Academic and Research Collaboration 2024 program is expected to provide valuable experiences for students in developing international insights and building a global academic network. With thorough preparation, UNUJA is optimistic that participants will be able to perform their best in every opportunity provided in the destination countries.
