UNUJA Postgraduate Holds Internal Quality Audit to Evaluate the Quality of Education and Services

Thursday, October 28, 2024 — The Postgraduate of Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) held an Internal Quality Audit (AMI), organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year. The audit aimed to evaluate the quality of education, research, community service, and governance practices implemented at UNUJA's Postgraduate, in accordance with the standards set at the beginning of the academic year.

In his speech, Moh. Furqan, M.Kom., Head of LPPM UNUJA, emphasized that the Internal Quality Audit is essential to assess the Postgraduate's success in implementing the tri dharma of higher education—education, research, community service, and institutional management. He also noted that the audit ensures that all programs are in line with the performance contracts agreed upon between the Postgraduate and Universitas Nurul Jadid. The audit was conducted in a classroom at the Postgraduate that can accommodate more than 18 participants.

The internal audit team involved in this activity consisted of certified and competent auditors. For the Master’s Program in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), the audit team included Ainol Yaqin, M.E., Rizki Febri Eka Pradani, M.Pd., and Sofian Syaiful Rizal, S.Sy., M.H.. For the Master’s Program in Islamic Education Management (MPI), the audit team comprised Fahrudin, M.M., Yusri Dwi Lestari, M.Kes., and Zaenol Fajri, M.Pd.. The auditors conducted a thorough review of documents, from applicable regulations to policy dissemination, the implementation of activities, and follow-up actions on each program.

Dr. Umar Manshur, M.A., Head of the PAI Master’s Program, stated that the Internal Quality Audit provided valuable insights that would help improve the quality of the program he leads. Similarly, Dr. Abu Hasan Agus R., M.Pd., Head of the MPI Master’s Program, welcomed the audit results and appreciated the valuable feedback received, which will be useful for the future development of the MPI program.

Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., Director of the Postgraduate at UNUJA, expressed his strong support for the audit process. He stated that conducting regular internal quality audits is crucial to maintaining the Postgraduate’s educational standards, especially amidst growing competition in higher education. He hopes the audit results will lead to improvements that will allow the Postgraduate to continue to evolve and stay competitive at both national and international levels.

The audit process was also supported by Dr. Abdullah, M.Pd., Head of the Graduate Quality Control Team, and Dr. Jazilurrahman, M.Pd., Head of the Graduate Quality Assurance Team. Both ensured that the audit was conducted smoothly and in accordance with the established procedures. Additionally, Ahmad Zubaidi, M.Pd.I., from the Institute for Publishing, Research, and Community Service (LP3M) at Universitas Nurul Jadid, also assisted in the audit, evaluating the research and community service outcomes carried out by the Postgraduate’s students and faculty.

On this occasion, Muh. Hamzah, M.Kom., Head of the Planning and Finance Division at Universitas Nurul Jadid, also attended to provide a detailed and transparent explanation regarding the financial management at the Postgraduate.

In addition to academic aspects, the audit also evaluated the facilities and infrastructure that support the learning process, assisted by Ahmad Siddiq, S.Pd. This is important to ensure the creation of a comfortable and conducive learning environment for both students and faculty at the Postgraduate.

The Internal Quality Audit is an annual event aimed at assessing thePostgraduate's progress in achieving the goals of the tri dharma of higher education. The results of this audit are expected to serve as a foundation for evaluation and improvements in the future development of UNUJA’s Postgraduate.

As the facilitator of the audit, Ahmad Sahidah, Ph.D., concluded the audit process by stating that the audit results will provide valuable guidance for the Postgraduate of UNUJA in continually improving the quality of its educational services, research, and community engagement.

With the implementation of this Internal Quality Audit, it is hoped that the Postgraduate of UNUJA will be better prepared to compete with other universities and provide high-quality education that meets the demands of modern times.
