UNUJA Postgraduate Holds "Training for Strengthening Digital Media Literacy"

As a follow-up to the collaboration between the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) and the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Council (MWCNU) of Kraksaan, Probolinggo Regency, a "Training for Strengthening Digital Media Literacy" event was held on Sunday, February 25, 2024. This activity is a concrete step to enhance understanding and skills in managing digital media in this increasingly modern era.

The training was held in the Auditorium of the UNUJA Faculty Dormitory and was attended by all the management of the MWCNU Kraksaan as well as several representatives from nearby pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). The participants showed high enthusiasm in attending this training, demonstrating their seriousness in strengthening digital media literacy.

The event was opened with remarks from Dr. H. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., the Director of UNUJA Postgraduate, and Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., who acted as the presenter. They emphasized the importance of digital media literacy in the context of the rapid development of information and communication technology. The participants are expected to gain a deep understanding of the wise and responsible use of digital media.

Also present at the event was the Chair of MWCNU Kraksaan, H. Ahmad Haidlori, M.Pd.I., who expressed full support for this activity. He affirmed that proficiency in digital media literacy is a necessity in this modern era, where digital media plays a significant role in disseminating information and influencing public opinion.

Through this training, it is hoped that participants will acquire knowledge and skills that can be applied to effectively and responsibly manage digital media. The collaboration between UNUJA Postgraduate and MWCNU Kraksaan in organizing this activity is a tangible demonstration of their joint commitment to enhancing digital media literacy within the community, thereby creating a healthier and more productive digital environment.
