UNUJA Postgraduate Program Holds Training on Writing Articles for National and International Reputable Journals

Paiton, as part of its commitment to enhancing academic quality and global competitiveness, the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) held a Training on Writing Articles for National and International Reputable Journals on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The event took place in Building G, 3rd Floor Auditorium of the UNUJA Postgraduate Campus, with a limited number of 50 participants, all of whom are active postgraduate students.

The training began with an opening speech by the Director of the Postgraduate Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., who emphasized the importance of strengthening scientific publication skills within the academic community. “This training is a strategic step in empowering students to produce high-quality articles that are suitable for publication in reputable national and international journals. This skill will directly enhance students' academic performance and elevate UNUJA’s standing on the global academic stage,” he stated.

The training featured two expert speakers. The first speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. Hasan Baharun, M.Pd., who also serves as the Vice Rector III of UNUJA, shared effective strategies for writing scientific articles that are more likely to be accepted by editors of nationally accredited and internationally reputable journals. He highlighted the importance of clear argumentation, originality of ideas, and adherence to proper academic writing conventions as key elements for successful publication.

The second session was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. Akmal Mundiri, M.Pd., who elaborated on the essential structure of a scientific article, including the Literature Review, Research Method and Findings, Discussions, and Suggestions. His comprehensive presentation helped participants deeply understand how to build well-structured, research-based, and impactful articles.

Participants showed high enthusiasm throughout the training. They were not only actively engaged in the discussions but also participated in practical sessions and successfully presented the results of their article drafts. This reflects the readiness of UNUJA postgraduate students to contribute meaningfully through scholarly publications.

This activity is a vital part of UNUJA Postgraduate Program’s efforts to build a productive and impactful academic ecosystem. Amidst today’s social dynamics and global demands, scholarly articles authored by students play a crucial role in voicing ideas, offering solutions, and delivering academic contributions to contemporary issues. The training not only strengthens students' individual capacities but also reaffirms UNUJA’s position as an active, progressive, and impactful institution in both national and international academic spheres.
