In order to strengthen scientific journals, the Association of Islamic Education Management Study Programs in Indonesia (PPMPI) held a workshop on the management of nationally and internationally reputable journals on October 21-23, 2022, at the University Hotel Yogyakarta, attended by journal managers from across Indonesia.
The speakers at the event included Busro from UIN Unan Gunung Djati Bandung, serving as Section Editor for HTS (Scopus indexed), Hasan Baharun from Universitas Nurul Jadid, serving as Editor-in-Chief of Al-Tanzim: Journal of Islamic Education Management (Sinta 2), and Zainal Arifin from UIN Sunan Kalijogo Yogyakarta, serving as Editor-in-Chief of Mangeria: Journal of Islamic Education Management (Sinta 3).
Hasan Baharun stated that serious efforts are required from journal managers to ensure that our scientific journals have a good reputation. One of the ways to achieve this is by adhering to the Arjuna standards if we wish to obtain good accreditation scores, or by meeting the Scopus or WoS standards to be indexed by internationally reputable indexing agencies. Therefore, it requires 'Journal Crazy People' (ORIGINAL) to manage scientific journals," added the Director of Postgraduate Studies at Universitas Nurul Jadid.
The event proceeded solemnly, where participants gained new insights into how to properly manage journals, following the journal review session.
